The Brief of the Year 9 Resistant Materials course is to design and make a storage unit of your choice. The project follows the lines of the GCSE course with Brief, Research, Specification, Ideas, Development, Final Design and Evaluation.
This is also the first time that students have a project that is not proscribed i.e. The teachers have not prepared sections of the projects in advance.
Students will be introduced to routers for the first time and will be expected to use them safely and accurately, making templates where it is appropriate.
THE CLASS IS MIXED ABILITY AND PROJECTS SHOWN REFLECT THAT. WHERE APPROPRIATE, COMMENTS ARE MADE THAT COULD BE HELPFUL TO STUDENTS COMPLETING SUCH PROJECTS IN THE FUTURE.
